STRUCTURED CABLING

The advent of structured cabling has considerably simplified the planning, implementation, and modification of information networks.

Structured cabling enables the usage of several hardware systems and the easy addition of new hardware systems to a building. The high degree of organization in a structured cabling system considerably reduces the risk of downtime and accelerates the process of cable and port tracing.

By contrast, a disorganized cabling infrastructure is visually confusing, makes it difficult to remove the proper cable, and increases the probability of removing the wrong cable, which can cause all sorts of problems, the least of which is downtime.

We use cable pathways – shafts, conduits, raceways, and floor penetrations (such as sleeves or slots) that provide routing space for the cables. We use optical fiber cables, twisted-pair copper, coaxial copper, or some combination thereof.
